Insurance & Pricing
In the ever-changing healthcare world, we know that costs and insurance coverage can be confusing and overwhelming. When you have the health of a loved one, or your own health, foremost in your thoughts, it can be difficult to negotiate your way through all the information regarding your healthcare needs. Our business office staff is trained in working with insurance companies and working with our patients to help you understand your insurance, co-pays, and deductibles. They can also help you set up payment options if they are necessary.
Our hospital works with most major insurance providers. If you aren’t sure if your insurance company and/or plan is covered for our facility, or if you need pre-authorization before you come to us for services, please call us at 406-635-5511. We are always happy to help you. If you have any questions about your anticipated costs or your current bill, please give us a call.
Please keep in mind that the quickest access and most accurate information about your insurance coverage and out-of-pocket expenses will come from your insurance company.
Prairie Community Hospital is committed to being transparent about our charges. We charge everyone the same price, but your insurance company may have negotiated a discount on those charges based on your plan. Federal government plans reflect set or negotiated discounts on charges for services provided to their beneficiaries. Our price estimator tool reflects those discounted charges for you based on the insurance company or federal government plan that will help pay for your care.

If you would like to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” that will explain how much your medical care should cost, based on your insurance coverage, deductibles, co-pay and total out-of-pocket amounts, please click here to access our Price Estimator Tool*. The estimator tool will ask you a series of questions about your insurance coverage, as well as asking questions about the kind of services you will be needing. If you are uninsured or underinsured, Prairie Community Hospital has financial assistance available. Please give us a call to learn more about our financial assistance plans.
